City Council expresses sympathy to the family of Wilmington Police Captain Stephen Misetic

Wilmington, Del. (March 4, 2018) – City Council President Hanifa Shabazz, today, expressed sympathy on behalf of City Council to the family of Wilmington Police Captain Stephen Misetic, as well as his entire WPD family.

“Throughout his career, Captain Misetic worked hand-in-hand with Council Members and community leaders on numerous initiatives,” said President Shabazz. “He also served as a community policing officer, and became someone who our neighbors could depend on. We offer our deepest prayers and condolences to his family, and we thank them for sharing him with the City of Wilmington.”

Council Member Loretta Walsh, chair of the Public Safety Committee, also offered her condolences.

“We have lost a dedicated police officer and public servant, who throughout his distinguished career shared his many talents with his colleagues and neighbors in Wilmington,” she said. “He will be sorely missed.|
