Wilmington’s Beautiful City Initiative Continues with a Special Tree Limb Collection Event on Saturday

Mayor Mike Purzycki, Public Works Commissioner Kelly Williams and Director of Parks and Recreation Kevin Kelley announced today the continuation of Wilmington’s Beautiful City initiative with a tree limb collection event to be held this Saturday, April 28.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, the Departments of Public Works and Parks and Recreation will team up to collect tree limbs that are too large to be picked up during the City’s regular yard waste collection service. Residents should place larger limbs and tree debris at the curb no later than 8 a.m. on Saturday for collection by the City. Tree limbs eligible for collection are those that are not longer than 8 feet or larger than 4 inches in diameter. Tree limbs will NOT be collected from rear alleyways.

Citizens MUST contact Wilmington’s Public Works Call Center at (302) 576-3878 to register for Saturday’s tree limb collection event.
