Wilmington City Council Meeting will take place tonight as scheduled, news of cancelation reported in error

WILMINGTON– The regularly scheduled meeting of the Wilmington City Council has not been canceled and will be held at 6 p.m. this evening inside Council Chambers at the Louis L. Redding City/County Building located at 800 N. French Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

There was a miscommunication about the status of tonight’s regularly scheduled Council meeting.

While the meeting has not been cancelled, there will be no legislative business on the agenda as the only items scheduled to be considered were on the agenda for last night’s Committee of the Whole meeting which was cancelled.

The Committee of the Whole meeting has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. inside Council Chambers.

A special meeting of the Wilmington City Council has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 31, to present the business discussed by the Committee of the Whole to the full City Council for its consideration.

That meeting will also be held inside Council Chambers.
