President Shabazz Issued the Following Statement Regarding Attorney General’s FOIA Opinion

Wilmington, Del. (August 14, 2017) Wilmington City Council President Hanifa Shabazz issued the following statement in response to the Attorney General’s Office opinion regarding the “open meetings” provision of the Delaware Freedom of Information Act (FOIA):

“We appreciate the guidance emanating from the Attorney General’s Office regarding its evolving interpretation of FOIA. We will take the appropriate steps to act in accordance with that guidance.”
