Morning Mosquito Spraying Planned for Southbridge
Community Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23
The spraying process is scheduled to take place between 4:00 – 5:00 a.m.
The Delaware Mosquito Control Section [dnrec.alpha.delaware.gov] will conduct mosquito spraying to reduce adult mosquito populations in the Southbridge area of Wilmington on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Weather permitting, the spraying will occur between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Application of the insecticide Sumithrin will be applied via a pickup truck. The insecticide, dose, and application method will be identical to what occurred on previous mosquito sprayings over the past several years in the Southbridge community.

Although not required, anyone with concerns about exposure to the spraying may remain indoors during the spray event, and for up to 20 minutes after the spraying has been completed.
