Synopsis: This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance amends Chapter 48 of the City Code to define and permit “commercial recreation” and “public assembly” as matter-of-right uses in the M-1 (Light Manufacturing) zoning district and establish parking requirements for such uses.

An Ordinance Establishing a Temporary Moratorium on Foreclosures due to Property Tax Increases as Long as the Owner is on a Payment Plan
Synopsis: This Ordinance is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance establishes a temporary moratorium on residential and commercial foreclosures for properties whose FY ’26 tax bill increased by more than 25% compared to FY ’25 due to the recent reassessment by Tyler Technologies. This will sunset September 30, 2026.

An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 37 of the City Code to Prohibit the Parking of Tow Trucks on City Streets
Synopsis: This Ordinance is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. In order to preserve the limited number of parking spaces available on City streets, this Ordinance amends Chapter 37 of the City Code to establish parking restrictions for tow trucks that are identical to the restrictions for tractor trailers, trailer coaches, semi-trailers, boats, and school buses. Specifically, this Ordinance prohibits the parking of tow trucks on City streets outside of a period of loading and unloading, or in the absence of a street storage permit. The Ordinance also calls for the addition of signage to provide clear notice to owners and/or operators of tow trucks of the prohibition on parking of tow trucks on City streets.

An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 8 of the City Code to Create an Education Workforce Down Payment and Settlement Assistance Program

Synopsis: This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval.
