An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 2 of the City Code to Require the All Legislation Include a Fiscal Impact Statement Prepared by the Office of Management and Budget

Synopsis       This Ordinance is being presented by City Council for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance amends Chapter 2 of the City Code to add a new Section 2-36 requiring all ordinances and substantive resolutions passed by City Council to contain either a fiscal impact statement prepared by the City’s Office of Management and Budget (“OMB”) or a written statement from OMB explaining the reason(s) that no fiscal impact statement could be prepared.
