It’s Official: New Website, New URL Address, Greater Access

After a successful soft launch of Wilmington City Council’s newly released website, today President Shabazz announced that www.WilmingtonCityCouncil.com is now the official website for Council. For the most accurate and up-to-date information about Council news, meetings and agendas, events, legislative business or members there is only one website for residents, businesses, and visitors – www.WilmingtonCityCouncil.com.

Going forward, residents and others who attempt to access Council information via the City of Wilmington’s website will now be re-directed to www.WilmingtonCityCouncil.com.

With accessibility, functionality, and a user-friendly focus at the forefront of its design, Council’s new site boasts a simplified navigation and layout, improved search features, and easy access to important information. Highlights include:

Council Members: The site provides greater access to Council by allowing constituents to e-mail members directly; download member bios and headshots, or search for district and council representative.

Meeting Notices and Agendas: View meeting notices and agendas with Ordinances and Resolutions corresponding with each agenda item uploaded and provided as a public service to visitors.

Calendar of Events: We have expanded our calendar to a monthly view to make it easier for constituents to follow and attend Council activities and events.

Legislation:  Search and view legislation by Ordinance/Resolution number, date range, title, sponsor and keywords.

Your Voice: Share your thoughts, ideas, and comments with all of City Council via the “Your Voice” link located on the website’s home page.

View Meetings: Stream meetings online live and on replay via the website.

Documents & Reports: View important Council-specific information including Council Rules, finance/budget information, Community Support Fund allocations, Wilmington Community Advisory Council (formerly the CDC Community Advisory Council) progress reports, and more.

Whether you choose to connect with us on your laptop, tablet, or mobile device – Council’s new site is optimized for any device and screen size – allowing you to connect with Council from any location, at any time, and from any device.
