Councilwoman Zanthia Oliver to Host Electric Bill Assistance Event for Third District Residents Facing Disconnects and Cut-Offs Only 

Wilmington, DE – Third District Councilwoman Zanthia Oliver will host an electric bill assistance event for residents of the 3rd District facing disconnects or cutoffs in partnership with the Division of Health and Social Services.

The event will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m at the Wilmington Housing Authority Building, located at 2412 Thatcher Street, Wilmington, DE 19802.

The event is designed to help neighbors who need support with their electric bills and are at risk of service disconnection. Please review the attached flyer for eligibility details and a list of documents to bring.

“We are in times that electric bills are sky high and constantly increasing every quarter that individuals need some relief and some help for their electric bills,” said Councilwoman Zanthia Oliver. “If the average person is having issues paying their bills, imagine the challenges many of our senior citizens are facing. It’s really sad. This event is an opportunity to connect residents with support and help families avoid losing electric service.”
