Councilwoman Oliver partners with local businessman to host toy drive, giveaway
WILMINGTON– Councilwoman Zanthia Oliver, Wilmington’s 3rdDistrict, is teaming up with local businessman Jason Baul to host the the first annual toy drive and van giveaway this weekend.
Baul, owner of Baul’s Auto Sales located on Northeast Boulevard, said he wanted to do something special for the children of single or incarcerated parents and reached out to Councilwoman Oliver for help.
“When Jason came to me with the idea to do something special for kids from single parent homes or who’s parents are incarcerated I jumped at the opportunity to help,” said Councilwoman Oliver. “It’s easy to overlook children in this situation, so for Jason to want to do something specifically for them is really special.”
Baul and Oliver are still seeking Donations of toys for the event scheduled for Sunday, December 23 from 10 am – 2 pm at Baul’s Auto Sales located at 1600 Northeast Blvd.
In addition to the toy give away, at the event Baul is planning to give away a van to one lucky participant.
