Councilman Freel honored by Westside Neighborhood Coalition

WILMINGTON – Council Member Bud Freel was honored last month by the Westside Neighborhood Coalition for his “willingness to always workCharles Freel 8th District Wilmington City Council with us.”

“We decided to honor Councilman Freel by presenting him with an award because he has always been there for us to give us a helping hand,” said Mardell Coates, president of the Westside Neighborhood Coalition.  “He is a faithful worker.”

The Westside Neighborhood Coalition is part of West Side Grows Together, a group of residents, organizations, institutions and businesses from Wilmington’s West Side that are working together to improve its neighborhoods.

Freel, who represents Wilmington’s 8thDistrict, received the award during the organization’s annual holiday party.
