The Wilmington City Council, Office of Economic Development, and Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce Partner to Host Second Annual Wilmington Black Restaurant Week from September 29 – October 5, 2024
The week will showcase the diversity and richness of Delaware’s Black culinary culture while supporting local Wilmington restaurants. Residents can attend by visiting participating restaurants throughout the week.
Wilmington, DE – The Wilmington City Council together with the Office of Economic Development are partnering with the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce to host the Second Annual Wilmington Black Restaurant Week. Wilmington Black Restaurant Week will take place September 29 – October 5, 2024.
Throughout entire week the City of Wilmington and The Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce will be showcasing the diversity and richness of Delaware’s Black culinary culture while providing residents the opportunity to support local Wilmington restaurants. Residents can attend by visiting participating restaurants throughout the week and enjoy their favorite foods with options to dine in, take out, delivery, catering, and food trucks all week long.
Delawareans are encouraged to visit all participating Wilmington BRW venues. Those who visit 5 or more BRW sites can enter the Passport Challenge for a chance to win a $50 gift card. Attendees can download and print a dining passport at www.WilmBRW.com. The passport will be stamped at each venue visit. Attendees are encouraged to take a picture of their stamped passport and upload it to their social media accounts using #WilmBRW with the Wilmington City Council and the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce tagged.
Throughout the week there will be a series of events including a kickoff event, a food truck event, a catering event, a pub crawl, and venues will feature special menu offerings and special discounts throughout the week. The week will conclude with a Grand Finale Celebration. Attendees are encouraged to bring their stamped passports to the Grand Finale event to enter the drawing to win a gift card.

They are all part of Wilmington’s rich heritage,” said Ayanna Khan, Founder, President and CEO of The Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce.
