The City of Wilmington Extends Property Tax Payment Deadline to September 30, 2025
Wilmington, DE – The City of Wilmington announced that the deadline for the payment of property taxes has been extended to September 30, 2025. The extensions allows property owners additional time to adjust to new assessment information and updated payment amounts under the City’s ongoing reassessment process.
Residents are encouraged to use the City’s new online billing and payment services. Customers can register for this service by visiting https://www.wilmingtonde.gov and clicking the “Pay My Bill” link, or you can visit the link here.
Account numbers are required for registration, any residents without an account number can call 311 for assistance.
The City has also waived late fees associated with utility bill payments until August 31. Once registered, customers may monitor and pay multiple bills online, establish autopay, create payment agreements, and request meter inspections through the portal.
Residents may also make payment in person at the Louis L. Redding City/County Building, located at 800 N. French Street, Wilmington, DE.
