To Amend Chapter 5 of the City Code Regarding Notification to Neighborhood Planning Councils

This Ordinance is being presented by the Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be amending Chapter 5 of the City Code to add a section requiring that applicants for a building permit for work that is estimated to exceed $250,000 in value shall provide notice to the Department of Planning and Development which shall then notify the Neighborhood Planning Council for the area within which the building-permitted activity will take place. The applicant shall make a presentation or shall receive a copy of a written waiver of presentation by the Neighborhood Planning Council.

To Amend Chapter 2 of the City Code Regarding the Requirement of Monthly Reports to Council from the Law Department

This Ordinance is being presented by the Council for Council’s review and approval. If approved, Council would be amending Chapter 2 of the City Code to require the City Law Department to provide a monthly written report of all pending lawsuits, status of the lawsuits, counsel representing the City, legal fees expended, and a list of all legal settlements made during the month.
