IMAC and State Leaders to Address Police Brutality following the Murder of Tyre Nichols
A press conference will be held today at 11 a.m. in Peter Spencer Plaza.

President Trippi Congo issued a statement this morning expressing his thoughts following the murder of Tyre Nichols and encourages members of the community to attend a press conference, organized by the Interdenominational Ministers Action Council of Delaware, today at 11 a.m. in Peter Spencer Plaza.

“The inhumane murder of Tyre Nichols at the hands of Memphis police is a devastating loss and painful reminder of the ongoing epidemic of police brutality, police violence, and egregious instances of police misconduct in our nation. We remain engaged in the same conversation about the need for police reform and accountability; the time for change is well overdue. What happened to Tyre Nichols and countless others across the United States, and in Delaware, should never have happened. Without drastic reform, it is not a matter of if police misconduct will happen again, but just a question of when it will happen again. Please join me today at 11 a.m. in Peter Spencer Plaza, located at 800 North French Street in downtown Wilmington, for a press conference organized by the Interdenominational Ministers Action Council of Delaware. I, along with other elected officials and members of the community, will be there to talk about what real change looks like and how you can be a part of the solution.”
