Synopsis:  This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance authorizes the City to exercise its option to extend Contract 19023PR – CACFP At Risk and Adult Care Food Program – between the City of Wilmington and Revolution Foods, Inc. for the term of one year beginning on October 1, 2019, at an estimated price of $664,661.25 based on an estimated number of meals requested at the price of $2.39 per Individual Supper, and $0.79 per Snack.

Synopsis:  This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance authorizes the City to exercise two (2) one-year extension options to extend Contract 20011PW – Sewer Maintenance – between the City of Wilmington and Brandywine Construction Company, Inc. for the periods of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 and July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, at an                   estimated price of One Million, Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1,285,880.00) plus a two percent (2%) increase for each extension period.

This Ordinance authorizes the City to exercise four (4) one-year extension options to extend Contract 20012WD – Water Distribution System Maintenance – between the City of Wilmington and Brandywine Construction Company, Inc. for the periods of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, and July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, at an estimated price of Two Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars      ($2,977.00) per day plus an increase of up to two percent (2%) for each extension period.

A Resolution Regarding the Wilmington Police Department Commencing an Academy Class

Synopsis:  This Resolution is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. In this Resolution, the City Council recognizes that the Chief of the Police Department has represented that the manpower of the Police Department will fall below ninety-five percent of the number of police officers set forth in the position allocation list attached to the fiscal year 2020 annual operating budget ordinance by the end of 2019 and has drafted a resolution calling for the commencement of an academy class for the Police Department once manpower falls below the requisite threshold.
